Choose File | Backup Database menu to backup your Eye Rx Database data files.
Backup Dialog Box
Backup data files from: Displays the directory where your current (live) Eye Rx Database data files reside.
Backup to: Displays the directory where the backups of your data files are placed. Eye Rx Database compresses your data files and places them in Backup to directory. The name of the zipped (compressed) file indicates the date/time of the backup. For example, EYERXDB_2007-12-29T19.14.43.zip indicates that this zipped file contains backup of your data from December 29, 2007 at 7:14 PM. It is highly recommended that Backup to directory be on hard drive other than where your current (live) Eye Rx Database data files reside. This will help you recover your data in case of a computer crash. Make a note of your Backup to directory for recovery purposes.
Options: Eye Rx Database reminds you to backup your data files periodically. You can set the reminder frequency in terms of number of days elapsed between backups.
